Not of the daytime tv show kind mind! It’s March and you’ve no doubt got a spring in your step as Easter closes in and those essays are almost done! If the last few months of cold, rain and darkness have left you feeling weary then it’s high time you got a little Sugar in your diet for a quick energy pick me up (nb all med students ours is Sugar of the good kind and leaves you feeling whoopy all day).

Coming up we have a Wi-Fi on Friday 5th of march, a slight tip of the hat to the impending quiet period where you can’t so much as fart without being scowled at. Fear not  you’re safe to let the vocal chords and lug holes loose within the twelvety walls of the Shugs!

If the last comment has made you weary at the prospect of exams, essays, deadlines and endless hours in the library worrying about mounting work levels and whether you can get away with drinking a Ribena carton near a book, then look no further than the purple one to help perk you up.

So, to continue the story I started on Facebook Hobbers gets in from work on Sunday morning, watches a bit of Mad Men (awesome), goes to bed, gets up (as is the natural progession of things) goes for a run, has breakfast, has a fag at the back door and notices that, strangely, her back gate is open! Odd? Well Oui, so off I trot to investigate and shut said gate. I then happen to glance at my washing line  and notice some empty pegs and a distanct lack off smalls! Yes I know I left my washing out overnight, who are you my mother? Sorry mother Hobday!

The Sugar House is Lancaster Universities Student Union nightclub. We are open three nights a week on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday plus we have additional openings for  external events such as theatre performances, live music and mini festivals. With a capacity of 1348 across 2 rooms we are the biggest venue in the city. Situated down Sugarhouse Alley off the back of St Leonardsgate, we are easily accessible from the Main Bus station and the centre of town. We frequently provide free buses from campus to the venue and we always provide free buses back to campus from 12.30am on Fridays and Saturdays.
